Reflecting on 2025: Lessons Learned and What’s Ahead for 2026
Mar 02, 2026
Key Points:
- 2025 was a rebuilding year that strengthened our team and leadership in SSCC.
- New programs, systems, and marketing foundations laid the groundwork for huge growth in 2026.
- The lessons of 2025 reaffirmed that strong teamwork, a welcoming and well-functioning clinic environment, and community connection drive long-term success.
As we wrap up another year at Simply Southern Chiropractic Center and Million Dollar Chiro, I can honestly say — 2025 was not a year of overnight wins. It was a year of rebuilding, refining, and setting the stage for what comes next.
This was my tenth year in practice — an incredible milestone that still feels surreal to say out loud. We’ve grown, evolved, and faced challenges that have taught us more about our teamwork and resilience than any other year before. From a complete team restructuring to rolling out new programs and expanding our community presence, 2025 tested us in all the right ways (even if it wasn’t always fun).
In this reflection, I want to share what we learned, what we’re celebrating, and where we’re headed as we move into 2026 with fresh energy and stronger foundations than ever before.

Looking Back on 2025: A Year of Rebuilding
If I had to sum up 2025 in one phrase, it would be: a year of rebuilding.
We didn’t have overnight wins or explosive growth — but we built systems that will sustain us for the next decade. This year forced us to evaluate what was working, what wasn’t, and who was really on board for the next chapter of our clinic’s growth.
It was challenging, yes, but also deeply rewarding. We came out of it stronger, more focused, and more united as a team. More than anything else, this is what sets us up to succeed in 2026.
The Power of Team Dynamics and Restructuring
This was, without question, one of the most difficult years I’ve ever had in terms of team management. We went through a massive staff transition — replacing half of our team within six months.
It was tough, but necessary. When issues surface in your practice, it’s important to remember that by the time you notice a problem, it’s already been there for a while. I had to learn to act quickly and decisively, not just for myself but for the health of the business and the morale of the team.
Now, I can confidently say we have the best team we’ve ever had. Our culture is stronger, our systems are tighter, and everyone is aligned with our mission. That transformation wouldn’t have been possible without the hiring funnel system we built and teach through Million Dollar Chiro. It gave me the structure to find the right people and the confidence to make the hard calls.
Launching New Programs: Gut Health and Neuropathy
One of the biggest wins of 2025 was finally launching two programs that had been on our vision board for years — our Gut Health Program and our Neuropathy Program.
We invested time in training, built new educational materials, and worked closely with our marketing team to develop content and new webpages. Seeing those programs come to life and actually change patients’ lives has been incredibly fulfilling.
Of course, chiropractic care remains our foundation — it’s what we’re known for — but adding these programs has expanded our ability to serve patients in a more holistic (and much needed) way. It’s been amazing to see how much potential there is when you commit to doing things right, even if it takes longer than expected.
Lessons in Leadership and Decision-Making
Every year teaches me something new about leadership. This year reminded me that growth isn’t linear, and the decisions you make as a leader impact everyone around you.
There were moments when I had to make tough choices — about staffing, budgeting, priorities — and they weren’t always easy or popular. But they were necessary.
I’ve learned to trust my gut, act on issues sooner, and communicate more clearly with my team. I’ve also learned the importance of delegation. Both Kelsey (my executive assistant) and I have worked hard to let go of certain responsibilities so we can focus on what moves the needle most. That shift alone has been a game-changer.
Streamlining and Simplifying the Holidays
One personal win for me this year was cutting back on holiday spending and celebrations. I used to overdo it and it often left me stressed and exhausted.
This year, we simplified everything. We still celebrated, but in a way that felt intentional and sustainable. And you know what? The team actually appreciated it more. Scaling back actually brought us closer together. Sometimes less really is more.
Strengthening Community Outreach
One of the biggest changes I made in 2025 was cutting back on my treatment hours. I went from two full treatment days per week to about a day and a half or even a half day for some weeks. That extra time has been invaluable.
It’s allowed me to step outside the clinic and engage more with our community — something I’ve wanted to do for years. I’ve attended local events, volunteered, and built partnerships with nearby schools, including launching a work-based learning program with a local high school where students can earn credit working in our clinic.
Being out in the community reminds me why I started this work in the first place. It’s about serving people, not just inside the walls of our clinic but beyond them.
Growth of the Million Dollar Chiro Brand
Million Dollar Chiro continues to be a true passion project for me. This year, we released 30 podcast episodes and hosted an incredible range of guests — from clinic owners to professors to colleagues we were meeting for the first time.
The conversations have been inspiring and energizing, and it’s been so rewarding to see the downloads tick up. In 2026, we’re taking things up a notch with a new podcast studio, complete with custom chairs, wallpaper, and a setup that really reflects the brand.
We’re also launching a new M$C website and have several speaking engagements lined up, including at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida. We’ll make sure to keep you posted on those as we get more details. It’s exciting to see how far we’ve come — and to realize that this brand has become a little community of its own.
Preparing for 2026: New Goals, Proven Systems, Fresh Energy
Looking ahead, I feel more confident than ever about where we’re going as a clinic. The first ten years of running this practice taught me everything I know about business, leadership, and resilience. The second ten years? I think they’re going to be a little easier, having gained the experience I have during the early years.
We’ve learned the hard lessons. We’ve built the systems. We’ve hired and rehired. Now it’s about refining what works and continuing to serve our patients and community with excellence.
In 2026, we’ll continue growing our new programs, deepen our community involvement, and keep investing in the incredible team that makes everything possible.
Key Takeaways for Chiropractic Practice Owners
If I could share a few lessons from this year with other practice owners, it would be these:
- Growth is rarely linear. It takes time, patience, and a lot of faith in the process.
- Don’t wait to act when you sense something’s wrong. Leadership requires decisiveness.
- The people you hire define your culture and your clinic. Protect it at all costs.
- Reflection is just as important as planning — take time to acknowledge what you’ve built before you move forward.
Building Momentum for 2026
2025 reminded me that real growth doesn’t always look glamorous — it often looks like rebuilding, realigning, and showing up even when things feel uncertain. But those are the seasons that create lasting success.
I’m so proud of the team we have now, the programs we’ve launched, and the community we continue to serve. We’ve built a stronger foundation than ever before, and I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings for both the clinic and Million Dollar Chiro.
Thanks for sticking with us through 2025. Here’s to another year of learning, growing, and cultivating health and wellness in our communities.
